Buffalo, NY - Ardent's Janell Fracassi was pleased to represent The Corner Bakery® in the lease of 4,200 SF of space in Transit Sheridan Plaza in Amherst, NY. This is the first of several planned restaurants in the Buffalo area and the second location for local franchisee, Fran DeSimone, who opened his first location on Monroe Avenue in Pittsford in April 2011. With more locations in the works, we can expect to see The Corner Bakery popping up around Monroe & Erie counties.
The Corner Bakery, a growing fast-casual restaurant chain based out of Dallas Texas, opened its first location in 1991 in Chicago where it offered only fresh baked bread and great coffee. It quickly grew its menu offering to accommodate customer requests for more options and fresh, interesting ingredients including sandwiches, soups, panini and specialty desserts. By 1995 The Corner Bakery had expanded to five locations in Chicago.
Currently, with 119 locations across the United States, The Corner Bakery continues to grow and what started as a little bread bakery, supplying freshly baked bread to happy customers around town has become a neighborhood favorite in communities all over the country.
